This experience blends a scenic Jeep tour through the Margaree backcountry with a two hour guided fly fishing session on the world renowned Margaree River. Designed for beginners, intermediate anglers, and experienced fishers alike, this seamless outing offers a unique way to experience the land, water, and stories of Cape Breton in one unforgettable day.
- Meet your Cape Breton Backcountry Adventures guide and depart by Jeep
- Travel winding back roads, forested dirt roads, and river corridors while learning about the landscape, history, and culture of the Margaree area
- Midway through the experience, transition from Jeep to river for a two hour guided fly fishing session with Tight Lines Guiding
- Beginners learn fly fishing fundamentals in a relaxed setting, while intermediate and experienced anglers refine skills and explore productive water
- Return to the Jeep and continue deeper into the backcountry with additional scenic stops before concluding the tour

Please try to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
If you don't see your Jeep right away, do not panic, they are liekly finishing the previous tour and will be right there!
Salmon season begins June 1.
Tours prior to June 1 will focus on trout fishing.
- There are no washroom facilities at the pick up location. Please plan to use a facility prior to arrival.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to departure are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations within 24 hours of departure are non refundable.
Tours may be adjusted or rescheduled due to weather or river conditions.
