Escape the city lights and journey deep into the Cape Breton Highlands for an unforgettable night beneath one of Canada's darkest skies. In partnership with renowned photographer Jay Fisher (Come From Away With A Camera), this unique experience combines an off-road Jeep adventure with professional night sky photography at the breathtaking Cape Clear Lookoff.

Whether you're an experienced photographer or have never photographed the stars before, Jay will guide you through camera settings, composition, and techniques to capture stunning images of the Milky Way. Along the way, enjoy stories of the Highlands, keep an eye out for wildlife, and experience Cape Breton after dark in a way few visitors ever do.

  • Meet your guide and photographer.

  • Scenic drive into the Cape Breton Highlands (approximately 1.5 hours).

  • Arrive at Cape Clear and receive photography instruction.

  • Spend approximately 2 hours photographing the Milky Way.

  • Return to the departure location (approximately 1.5 hours).

  • Warm clothing (temperatures can drop significantly at night)

  • Sturdy footwear

  • Camera with manual settings (DSLR or mirrorless recommended)

  • Children under 12 participate free of charge with a paying adult, with a maximum of one child per adult.
  • There are no washroom facilities at the pick up location. Please plan to use a facility prior to arrival.
